Camber is the slope given to road pavement in cross section. It’s use is to drain out rainwater into side drain so that the pavement is free of water. Parabolic or elliptic shape is preferred for fast moving vehicles since they are likely to cross the crown frequently in overtaking operation
·        The required of camber depends on:

1. the type of pavement surface 
2. the amount of rainfall
