Analysis of super elevation

Analysis of super elevation.
Super elevation or cant or banking is the transverse slope provided at the horizontal curve to counter act the horizontal curve when outer edge is raised a component of the curve weight will be complimented in counteracting the effect of centrifugal force.

Where,
e = Rate of super elevation
f = co-efficient of lateral friction (0.15)
v = speed of vehicle
R = The Radius of the the curve.
